On iPhone Duo, the cue plays on the outer display, right next to the lens your pet should look at.

The inner screen is your camera, with a small PET VIEW mirror of what your pet sees. The outer display faces your pet: a ball, a bird or a heart lands beside a glowing beacon at the edge nearest the rear camera, so your pet’s gaze ends up on the lens. The cues are drawn in the blue and yellow range dogs can tell apart, and cats get a laser dot and a wiggly fish.

The moment your pet looks, Pet Cue’s on-device AI takes the photo, exactly as on any iPhone.
