Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026. Last updated October 2, 2026, to describe how this website counts visits. Pet Cue and petcue.camera are published by All Blue LLC.

The Pet Cue app

The short version: Pet Cue collects no data. It has no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no servers that receive your information.

Camera

Pet Cue uses your camera to take photos of your pet. To know when your pet is looking at the lens, and to notice moments such as a head tilt, a yawn or a new pose, it analyzes the camera image on your device with Apple's Vision framework and a small model built into the app (and the equivalent on-device technology on Android). Camera images are never uploaded or shared with us or anyone else.

Your photos

Photos you take are stored inside Pet Cue on your device. If you choose Save to Photos, Pet Cue asks for permission to add photos to your photo library; it does not read your existing library. If you share a photo, it goes only where you send it.

Photos taken with the Lock Screen camera wait in a private folder on your device that only Pet Cue can open, and move into the app the next time you open it.

What Pet Cue remembers

To learn which cue works best, Pet Cue keeps simple statistics on your device: how often each pet looked after each cue and how fast, plus your pets' names and kinds if you enter them, and your settings. This stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app or tap Reset What Pet Cue Learned.

Sounds and flashlight

Cue sounds are played by the app on your device. The Twinkle cue briefly turns on your flashlight at low brightness; it never records anything.

Network

Pet Cue works offline. The Android app does not request network access at all.

This website

petcue.camera counts visits with its own, first-party analytics so we can see how people find Pet Cue. The public pages set no cookies, use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and nothing here is sold or shared.

What is recorded when you open a page

  • The page you opened, and the site and page that linked you here (without its query string).
  • Campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), and whether the link came from an ad click (not the click ID itself).
  • Your browser, operating system and device type (phone, tablet or computer), worked out from the browser's user-agent, and the browser's language.
  • Your country, only if our network provider adds it to the request. It currently does not, and we use no location database.
  • How long the page was visible and how far it was scrolled, clicks on links that leave the site (such as to the App Store or Google Play), and whether a film on the page was played.

Counting visitors without cookies

To count unique visitors, the server combines your IP address and user-agent with a random value that changes every day, and keeps only a one-way hash of the result. The daily value is deleted after that day, so a visit can't be linked to the next day's visits or traced back to you. Your IP address is not stored by the website's analytics.

Crawlers

Visits from automated clients, such as search engine crawlers, AI assistants fetching a page and link previews, are recorded by the client's name, the page and the response status, without IP addresses.

Server logs and retention

Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting; they are rotated and deleted automatically after a short time. Analytics records are deleted automatically after 13 months.

We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is found and used, in a way designed not to identify you. The site owner's sign-in area uses a strictly necessary session cookie that is only set when the owner signs in.

Children

Pet Cue is suitable for everyone and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date.
